| Customer Reviews: Nice Center Channel March 10, 2008 Mark Domino (Seattle, Washington) I bought this Center speaker for my home theater system to blend with two old Left and Right Boston Acoustics speakers I have had for years. I must say im very impressed.
Great Center channel performs better than I expected. Cant beat 3 way center and for the price.
Best Low Profile Center Channel Solution around February 18, 2010 David D. Macks (Troy, New York United States) With the rise of HT and slim design LCD's on pedestals, the pressure to come up with smaller, less obtrusive Center Channels is immense. While it's quite easy to design small in obstrusive speakers (see Bose) it's far more difficult to have them sound like anything other than the tin cans they resemble. Boston Acoustics VRC 3-Way center is a good if not great compromise. It's use of 4.5-inch woofers allows it to get away with a height of only 5 inches. This size driver combined with a deep, ported cabinet allows the low profile center channel to obtain excellent clarity for dialogue and superior bass. While no one will confuse it with the monster Centers from B&W or Klipsch, you won't confuse its sound with your typical Home Theatre in a Box offerings either. I think this as good a compromise as you can get and with different finishes you might also be able to keep her happy as well.
