These are low profile and small. They are concealed by the speaker and are simple to install. Mounting hardware is NOT included so you will need to purchase the proper fasteners depending on whether you are mounting to brick, drywall or other surface. I would buy these again.

I bought the mounts for a pair of Definitive Mythos Gems that I use for surround speakers. The Gems are within the weight guidelines for the wall brackets and I have had no problem with the speakers' stability on the wall. One of my mounts is screwed into a wall stud and is extremely stable. The other one is held in place by screw-in drywall anchors. Using the appropriate amount of muscle when tightening the bracket provided a sturdy, well-mounted speaker without pulling out the drywall anchors. The brackets look good and are unobtrusive behind the Gems.

If you are buying Def Tech speakers, do yourself a favor and splurge on these brackets. They make installating quick, easy, and secure.

I decided to go with the real Definitive brackets figuring they were made for the speakers. Good choice.... they stay put where you tighten them. I have had them up for 3 weeks and they are still perfect so I bought another set for the other pair.

If I gave it 5 stars, then it would have meant that I've been using them throughout all four seasons. I know some people complain about them being weak, but so far on my 800s they are perfect. Really made a nice difference in our new living room. I recommend them.
