This is a great sub. It has a good size enclosure for a 12 inch driver and feels quite solid. No noticeable resonances when you rap on the unit. Can be converted for either down firing or forward firing operation for use in a cabinet as my installation requires. Despite this necessary poor placement it fills my rather large theater room with strong base. The "list price" of $799 on amazon is wrong though. Polks own web site shows it as $679.95 which is the supposedly discounted price on amazon.

Way back in the day my dad bought his first sub when we went to Circuit City. The salesman played the first five minutes of Terminator 2 with and without a sub. We were hooked, but when we got home the sub we bought made only a fraction of the difference that it did in the store. I've had a few lower end subs, but this sub is the first time I really felt like I was getting that experience. As soon as you set this thing up you will know what you have been missing all these years.
I will say that you can get this sub for a lot less than $620. Value wise I'm sure it's worth that, but it's pretty easy to find it in the $350-$400 range. You can also buy the cover for this now if you need it. I think it's around $55.

I'm pleasantly surprised by this sub. I took advantage of a huge savings on Amazon (had to wait a few months to get it, but that was ok). There are tons of features built into the panel and the power this projects is amazing. I have a large open living room, so finding a sub that can fill it was pretty hard...but this is the one. If you can afford it, go for it.

Ive had this product for a year now and its just sick. I have a 20 ft by 15 ft room and it cranks very well! i am listening to it now and love it. the best part is the remote. When i listen to news on my tv or movies then music I can easily turn the sub up or down to my liking. Its got its own built in amp so theres no mistaking that i could blow it. its very nice and i am going to buy a second for the upstairs room! wicked nice
